This reservoir is the third of four planned reservoirs for the city of Santa Maria, California. The green roof of one of the earlier reservoirs can be seen in the top right corner of the panoramic view above.
American Laminators provided engineering and shop drawings for this project as well as the beams.
Alaskan Yellow Cedar was the specie of choice for this project due to its natural resistance to decay.
The joist are also glulam. Two members 1-1/2" thick were cut from a single 3-1/8" width beam.
